Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They put the hurt on the Greater Johnstown Trojans with a sharp 23-1 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.

Central got a massive performance out of Kyle Klotz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jay Hoenstine, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Greater Johnstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Central will head out on the road to take on Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Greater Johnstown, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Somerset at 4:30 p.m.
