Octorara Area extended their losing streak  to six  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-11 in the process. They fell  9-4 to the Manheim Central Barons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  8-1  on April 9th.

  Brayden Remphrey was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He has become a key player for Octorara Area: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-10 otherwise.
As for Manheim Central, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.6 runs over those games.
 On Manheim Central's side,  Chase Book and  Hunter Garber did most of the damage at the plate:  Book  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI, while  Garber  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  Book has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brody Groff, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
