Lincoln is on a 18-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while the Cowboys are on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lincoln Tigers will take on the Carter Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
A well-balanced attack led Lincoln over the Vikings in every quarter on their way to victory last Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lincoln blew the Vikings out of the water with a 65-22 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayla Crowder, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Crowder has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Patterson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Carter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 64-40 margin over Pinkston.
Tyari Ray continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Miracle Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Carter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Lincoln against the Cowboys when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 69-15 victory. With Lincoln ahead 40-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
