If Southwick Regional was feeling good  fresh off their  14-1 takedown of Smith Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell  9-5 to the Holyoke Purple Knights on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purple Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  16-3  back in March.

  Eleanor Rolandini was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  run. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ava Lightcap, who  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Southwick Regional now  has a losing record of 5-6. As for Holyoke, their victory  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-5.
 Coming up, Southwick Regional will head out to  challenge Sabis International  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Holyoke, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against West Springfield  at 12:00  p.m.
