Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lockport). They blew past the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies 16-4 on Saturday. The Porters haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Kelcie McGraw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lockport let Rheanna Slavicek and Liliana Janeczko run wild. Slavicek scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Janeczko went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Janeczko has posted since back in April of 2024. Addison Way was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
