Riverside Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They took the matchup and then some with a 51-7 victory over Town 'N Country Christian Academy. No one put up better numbers for Riverside Christian than senior Cohen Begue, who brought his A game into the match. He threw 4 TDs and punched in 2 rushing TDs. In fact, with 11 tackles Begue was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Hillsborough Baptist received a tough blow as they fell 0-20 to Village View Christian Academy. Hillsborough Baptist were down by 0-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Riverside Christian's win lifted them to 1-0 while Hillsborough Baptist's loss dropped them down to 0-2. The Hillsborough Baptist defense got after the quarterback against Village View Christian Academy to the tune of 4 sacks, so Riverside Christian's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
