The Coconino Panthers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 49-29 margin over Lee Williams. The victory was just what Coconino needed coming off of a 64-38 loss in their prior contest.
Aviana Scharfenberger continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Neveah Sherlock was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Coconino's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lee Williams, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Coconino will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Lee Williams will be home for the holidays to greet Kingman Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kingman Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
