This season hasn't been kind to the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of Ninilchik on Saturday. Cook Inlet Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
Ninilchik can attribute much of their success to Riley Tucker, who scored 25 points. Lucy Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Cook Inlet Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 18-8 record last season and are now at 0-5. As for Ninilchik, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Glennallen the next time they take the court. Ninilchik will host Glennallen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Cook Inlet Academy will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
