Lincoln College Prep has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Southeast Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Lincoln College Prep pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Kansas City East Christian Academy by a score of 59-56. While losing is never fun, Lincoln College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Kansas City East Christian Academy is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Southeast's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-17 defeat at the hands of Warrenton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.
Lincoln College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Southeast, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-10 record last season and are now at 1-8.
Lincoln College Prep came up short against Southeast in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 67-62. Can Lincoln College Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
