 In other batting news,  Anthony Consiglio was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Collin Miller, who  went 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Akron  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Akron's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-6. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Salamanca, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record  this season.
