Baseball Recap: Lindbergh Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Lindbergh waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Howell North Knights 17-8. The Flyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Adler Crask was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Lindbergh let Luke Seiler and Austin Jones run wild. Seiler went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Jones went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits Jones has posted over his last eight games. Jack Politte was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lindbergh's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-11-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Howell North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Lindbergh will face off against Fort Zumwalt East at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Flyers 3.6, the Lions 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Howell North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
