Western Plains lost to Golden Plains back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Western Plains Bobcats walked away with a 44-32 victory over the Golden Plains Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why Golden Plains lost, don't look at Dylan Wark. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Rath, who had five points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Western Plains' win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Golden Plains, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Western Plains wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-23 victory against Moscow on the 14th. Golden Plains has also already played their next contest, a 56-26 loss against Victoria on the 14th.
