Cheney RVT suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Wednesday. Their tough 38-13 defeat to Harvard Ellis Tech might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cheney RVT in their matchups with Harvard Ellis Tech: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Cheney RVT saw an underclassman step up: Trinity Hazel scored 13 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 100% of Cheney RVT's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Portland, who are still winless after their ninth match. They took a serious blow against Morgan on Wednesday, falling 61-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Portland has scored all season.
Cheney RVT's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
