After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln Park Academy, the Greenacres Christian Panthers were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-68 victory over Berean Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenacres Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corey Antoine, who scored 25 points along with seven assists. Another player making a difference was David Mine, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Greenacres Christian pushed their record up to 5-11 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Berean Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenacres Christian will challenge Lake Worth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berean Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sheridan Hills Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Sheridan Hills Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
