The Phillipsburg Stateliners will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Freedom Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Phillipsburg will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Thursday, Phillipsburg didn't have too much trouble with Warren Hills Regional on the road as they won 69-53.
It was another big night for Andrew Martin, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Matthew Scerbo Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against East Stroudsburg North on Thursday and fell 58-47. Freedom has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Phillipsburg's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Freedom, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
