The McKinley Red Dragons had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 53-43 victory over Girard on Tuesday. The victory was just what McKinley needed coming off of a 70-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
Anthony Budak had an outrageously good game as he scored 15 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Yaunsene Blackmon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
McKinley's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Girard, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
McKinley will take on Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Girard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson Area at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
