The Shadow Creek Sharks entered their tilt with the Lufkin Panthers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Shadow Creek simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Lufkin 63-34 at home. The result was nothing new for Shadow Creek, who have now won seven games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Shadow Creek was led to victory by Kaden Tate and Michael Collins. Tate dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds, while Collins scored 19 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least 25% of Shadow Creek's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adin Lewis, who scored nine points.
Shadow Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Lufkin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Pearland at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pearland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Shadow Creek is ranked 14th). Lufkin will be home for the holidays to greet A&M Consolidated at 1:15 p.m. on Monday.
