The Annapolis Cougars will head out to take on the Grosse Ile Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grosse Ile took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Annapolis, who comes in off a win.
Annapolis took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Thurston as they made off with a 23-6 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by 11 runs or more this season.

Annapolis got a massive performance out of Lexi Cadzow 2026, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those five runs gave Cadzow 2026 a new career-high. Kaelyn Clement 2025 was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
Annapolis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Grosse Ile was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Flat Rock.
Grosse Ile saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ganzberger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Annapolis' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Grosse Ile, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
Grosse Ile's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Annapolis has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .627. It's a different story for Grosse Ile, though, as they've only averaged .348. Will they be able to contain Annapolis' hitters?
Annapolis suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Grosse Ile when the teams last played back in May of 2017. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
