The Central Gwinnett Black Knights won the last time they faced the Collins Hill Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Central Gwinnett came out on top against Collins Hill by a score of 47-35.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Paris Fillingame, who scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 34.3% of Collins Hill's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Imari Brewer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Central Gwinnett's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Collins Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Gwinnett will take on Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak. As for Collins Hill, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Collins Hill is ranked 99th).
