The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies will take on the Northmor Golden Knights in a tournament on Tuesday. Johnstown-Monroe will be strutting in after a win while Northmor will be coming in after a loss.
On Thursday, Johnstown-Monroe made easy work of Zanesville and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Johnnies haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Johnstown-Monroe took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14, 25-12.

Ava Ruffle was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight digs and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addy Hazelbaker, who had 12 assists and five digs.
Meanwhile, Northmor came up short against Loudonville on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Knights in their meetings with the Redbirds: they've now lost four in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-15.
Johnstown-Monroe will have to keep a close watch on Ava Walters and Mary Dean, a pair of players who had a big impact on Northmor's prior game. Walters had eight digs and two aces, while Dean had seven digs. Madi Abrams also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Johnstown-Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Northmor, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
