Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the LaSalle Royal Lions walked away with it. They took down the Knights 44-30 on Monday. The victory was just what LaSalle needed coming off of a 57-35 loss in their prior matchup.
LaSalle found their leader in underclassman Alexandra Gonzalez casar, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Gonzalez casar hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for 12 straight games. Caroline Barrabes was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
LaSalle's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Sunset, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
LaSalle will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:30 p.m. on February 8th. Sports Leadership & Management will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something LaSalle surely won't give up without a fight. Sunset does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
