Softball Recap: Honey Grove Takes Down North Hopkins in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Honey Grove walked away with it. Everything went their way against the North Hopkins Panthers on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Warriors have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Honey Grove's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Hopkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Honey Grove will challenge Petrolia on May 3. North Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
