AAAA Region 7B recap Oct. 30, 2012
Ridgeland extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 7B this week by beating LaFayette, 48-0. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Panthers.
Southeast Whitfield County moved up to 312 from 348 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Northwest Whitfield 31-7.
Dalton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Catamounts feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cole Calfee has thrown for 718 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Brandon Dale has 26 catches for 512 yards. Kelvis Rhodes leads the league in rushing with 1050 yards.
A big matchup in AAAA Region 7B this week will be when Dalton takes on Southeast Whitfield County. The Catamounts are currently in second, while the Raiders are in fourth.
Ridgeland took down the Ramblers 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
