It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Holmes County Blue Devils had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Chipley with points to spare, taking the game 26-7. The win made it back-to-back wins for Holmes County.
Landon Lumpkin was a one-man wrecking crew for Holmes County as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.
Holmes County's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chipley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Holmes County will head out on the road to face off against Bozeman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bozeman will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Chipley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
