The Carver A&T Wildcats will be playing at home against the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Carver A&T ended up a good deal behind the Comets and lost 47-31.
Despite the loss, Carver A&T saw an underclassman step up: Elisah Guity scored 14 points. Jordan Carrington was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-36, which was the final score in Western Tech & Environmental Science's tilt against the last Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Western Tech & Environmental Science can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the are ranked 48th).
Carver A&T's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Carver A&T, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-39 loss to the Wolverines in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Can Carver A&T avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
