While Edison didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Buckeye Local Panthers on Friday as they made off with an 18-5 win. Considering the Wildcats have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Edison has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Buckeye Local, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Edison has already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against St. Clairsville on the 21st. As for Buckeye Local, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Beaver Local on the 18th.
