The South Lafourche Tarpons will venture away from home to face off against the Hahnville Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lafourche is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
South Lafourche hadn't beaten Destrehan on the road since October 4, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Tarpons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats.
South Lafourche's got stronger as the match went on, holding Destrehan to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.

South Lafourche relied on the efforts of Addison Rodrigue, who had 14 assists and six digs, and Jolie Callais, who had 11 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Callais has posted over her last five contests.
South Lafourche was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matches.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hahnville and Archbishop Chapelle, and Archbishop Chapelle kept the tradition alive. The Tigers came up short against the Chipmunks on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Chipmunks since September 18, 2018.
While Hahnville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
Hahnville's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for South Lafourche, their record is now 11-5.
South Lafourche might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hahnville in their previous matchup back in August of 2022. Can the Tarpons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
