Basketball Recap: Buffalo Wins Going Away Against Elk River

Buffalo won the last time they faced Elk River and things went their way on Friday too. The Buffalo Bison wrapped up 2024 with a 64-49 win over the Elk River Elks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Buffalo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Elk River, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Buffalo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Annandale at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Buffalo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Annandale likes a good challenge. As for Elk River, they and Sartell-St. Stephen will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Sartell-St. Stephen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
