Section 1 C/D recap November 13, 2013
Tuckahoe scaled the state rankings by moving to 239 from 296 this week, the biggest jump in Section 1 C/D. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Haldane 42-8.
Tuckahoe took down the Blue Devils 42-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mike Castracucco threw for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 46 yards during the win.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Yonkers Montessori Academy's George Figueroa and Robert Atkins have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Figueroa has thrown for 905 yards this season, while Atkins has 26 catches for 484 yards. COREY JEAN-CHARLES from Albertus Magnus leads the league in rushing with 1,026 yards.
John D'Arco's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,449 from 8,565. The improvement was the result of a 42-8 victory over Haldane last week.
