On Thursday, Vanoss beat Wewoka 46-33.
When it comes to explaining why Wewoka lost, one person who can't be blamed is Timber Carter. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhaivyn Patton, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Vanoss has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Wewoka, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.
Vanoss does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wewoka, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Preston at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Preston will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Wewoka surely won't give up without a fight.
