Raymondville is 7-1 against Grulla since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Raymondville Bearkats will head out on the road to face off against the Grulla Gators at 7:00 p.m. Raymondville is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Raymondville took a serious blow against Port Isabel, falling 37-7.
Meanwhile, Grulla beat Bishop 13-2 on Thursday.
Grulla's win bumped their season record to 4-3 while Raymondville's defeat dropped theirs to 1-6.
Raymondville was able to grind out a solid victory over Grulla in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, winning 27-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Raymondville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
