St. Cloud had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Freedom Patriots to the tune of 55-8. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Lattier, who threw for 186 yards and five touchdowns. Cameron Dalton helped Lattier out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.
St. Cloud didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bryce Anthony Oraine Williams and Jude Cockcroft. Anthony Oraine Williams got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Looking ahead, St. Cloud will host Pine Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to take on Satellite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
