Twin River hasn't had much luck against Adams Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Titans will face off against the Patriots at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
If Twin River beats Adams Central with two runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Titans beat Douglas County West on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Paydon Rinkol was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Twin River's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 3-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Rinkol was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Rinkol wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Braedyn Ramaekers, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Central City/Centura typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Adams Central proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Kernels by a score of 5-2.
Jacob Reichstein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jackson Sughroue was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Liam Dyer, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Adams Central has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Twin River, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Twin River might still be hurting after the 15-3 defeat they got from Adams Central when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
