The Cypress Creek Bears will square off against the Dr. Phillips Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, Cypress Creek made easy work of Celebration and carried off an 18-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won nine in a row.

Sophia Gonzales and Britney Freitez did most of the damage at the plate: Gonzales went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Freitez scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Freitez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alondra Lozada, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Cypress Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Dr. Phillips had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Grenadiers by a score of 10-6.
Madison Collazo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Samantha Rome was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-5. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Briana Lohr was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Cypress Creek pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Dr. Phillips, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cypress Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Dr. Phillips struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cypress Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Dr. Phillips when the teams last played back in February, winning 5-2. Will Cypress Creek repeat their success, or does Dr. Phillips has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
