5A Region III District 18 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Aldine moved up to 501 from 575 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region III District 18. A 37-13 win over MacArthur helped the Mustangs improve their standing.
Alief Elsik's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Caleb Bedford threw for 36 yards and Casey Williams had 36 yards receiving. On the ground Caleb Cormier chipped in 89 yards.
Alief Elsik's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bedford has thrown for 425 yards and one touchdown this season, while Williams has 19 catches for 309 yards. Cormier leads the league in rushing with 288 yards.
The Rams led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Nimitz. Cormier in the win.
