Cashmere put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the College Place Hawks a 10-0 shutout. The match marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Tom McDevitt made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. McDevitt was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. McDevitt is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylon Rubio, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cashmere's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for College Place, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cashmere will face off against Royal at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cashmere 3.4, Royal 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for College Place, they will take on River View at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
