The Raymondville Bearkats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hidalgo Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Raymondville had to settle for a 46-43 loss against Grulla.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jacob Garza, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 14 straight games. Colt Cavazos was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Hidalgo had just enough and edged Zapata out 35-33 on Monday.
Raymondville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-22 record this season. As for Hidalgo, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-16.
Raymondville skirted past Hidalgo 25-23 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Raymondville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hidalgo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
