If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Sheridan. They will take on Culver at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
Sheridan scored well below their previous average of 44 points per game last Friday, but luckily it didn't cost them. They walked away with a 9-0 win over Santiam. The victory was familiar territory for Sheridan, who now have six in a row.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Chemawa Indian two weeks ago, Culver came back down to earth. Culver were dealt a punishing 0-54 defeat at the hands of Kennedy. Culver's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.
Sheridan's victory lifted them to 6-1 while Culver's loss dropped them down to 3-5. We'll see if Sheridan can repeat their recent success or if Culver bounce back and reverse their fortune.
