North has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Doherty Memorial Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 869 points over their last 12 games.
In what's become a running theme this season, North gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Burncoat 87-40 at home. Given North's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Burncoat is ranked 36th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Doherty Memorial pushed their score all the way to 58 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Burncoat.
North pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their 22nd straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Doherty Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for North against Doherty Memorial in their previous matchup on January 3rd as the team secured a 77-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
