The Village Christian Academy Knights will take on The O'Neal School Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Village Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Village Christian Academy picked up another tournament win on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Seventy-First.
Sean Nicely was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Village Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).

Nicely wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Snyder, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Snyder a new career-high. Lucas Molina also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, The O'Neal School never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Fayetteville Christian with a sharp 14-0 victory. Considering the Falcons have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Village Christian Academy, The O'Neal School also got a great game from a two-way player: Joey Wade. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Wade was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, The O'Neal School got a massive performance out of Andrew Pavlovich, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Max Pashley, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
The O'Neal School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The win made it two in a row for The O'Neal School and bumps their season record up to 5-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Village Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
The O'Neal School's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Village Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. It's a different story for The O'Neal School, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Village Christian Academy's hitters?
