Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Trinity Prep and Father Lopez squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Trinity Prep had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Father Lopez Green Wave and fell 75-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered since January 7th.

Despite the loss, Trinity Prep still got an impressive performance from Aiden Stillman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Stillman is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. David Hull was another key player, going 7 for 16 en route to 15 points.

Trinity Prep's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-17. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Father Lopez, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-11.

Trinity Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Father Lopez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-70 loss against Master's Academy on the 5th.
