Estancia walked away with a 62-52 victory over Santa Ana on Wednesday. For Estancia, this counts as revenge for the 53-44 defeat Santa Ana walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Santa Ana's loss came despite strong showings from Jack Rivera and Jayden Carter. Rivera scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Carter scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 42.3% of Santa Ana's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Rivera, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
Estancia's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Santa Ana, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Estancia will take on Calvary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Calvary Chapel is ranked 435th, while Estancia is ranked 410th). As for Santa Ana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
