The Central Trail Blazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were the victim of a rough 40-17 loss at the hands of Western International. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Western International apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Western International found their leader in underclassman T?Nya Whitehead, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Another player making a difference was Makayla Lewis, who scored four points along with 12 steals and five assists.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Western International, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will challenge East English Village Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western International, they will head out on the road to face off against Denby at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
