After flying high against the Kiowa Indians last Thursday, the Colorado Springs School Kodiaks came back down to earth. Colorado Springs School lost to Burlington on the road by a decisive 46-30 margin on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Colorado Springs School of the 58-33 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Burlington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Chacon out in front who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and four steals. Chacon has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowdy Humrich, who scored 13 points.
Colorado Springs School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Burlington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colorado Springs School will square off against Limon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burlington, they will head out on the road to take on Flagler at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
