Volleyball Recap: Lake Ridge Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Lake Ridge won the last time they faced Forney and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jackrabbits.

The victory didn't come easy: Forney scored at least 22 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 25-23.

Zoe Patteson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 assists and six digs. Those six digs gave her a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Forney had strong showings from Kalei Kea, who had 22 assists and eight digs, and Piper Love, who had ten digs and one assist. Kea has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Lake Ridge pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Forney, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Lake Ridge has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Stony Point on the 21st. As for Forney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against El Dorado on the 21st.
