The Verona Hillbillies will head out on the road to face off against the Montclair Mounties at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Verona's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 64-47 bruising from West Essex. Verona has struggled against West Essex recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Montclair kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 62-51 to Millburn. Montclair can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their one games.
Verona bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Montclair, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Verona came up short against Montclair in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 53-42. Can Verona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
