Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rondout Valley). They put the hurt on the Red Hook Raiders with a sharp 16-4 victory on Tuesday. The Ganders haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sophia Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Sergio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Rondout Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rondout Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Red Hook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Rondout Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-10 victory against New Paltz on the 21st. As for Red Hook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-11 win against Roosevelt on the 21st.
