It was a Battle of the Birds when  Baptist Prep duked it out with Maumelle Charter on Thursday. The Baptist Prep Eagles walked away with  a   15-11  victory over the Maumelle Charter Falcons. The  win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.
 Marshall Eoff was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Eoff was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Aaron Fielder and  Nick Boyette did most of the damage at the plate:  Fielder  scored four  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 3-for-5, while  Boyette  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Boyette has posted since back in March of 2024.  Carson Wake was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
Baptist Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Maumelle Charter,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1.
 Looking ahead, Baptist Prep will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against Atkins  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Maumelle Charter, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  take on  Quitman  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
