The Riverton Silverwolves will challenge the American Fork Cavemen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Riverton sitting on three straight wins and American Fork on 11.
Riverton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mountain Ridge 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Silverwolves have posted since April 22nd.

Rocky Downs tossed a big game, striking out 14 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Riverton's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Mounteer, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI Mounteer has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, American Fork faced Bingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Cavemen walked away with a 7-4 win over the Miners.
CJ Mascaro made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Crew Ingersoll, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Cache Poulson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.
American Fork pushed their record up to 24-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, their record now sits at 20-9.
Riverton skirted past American Fork 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Silverwolves repeat their success, or do the Cavemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
