Fans got a thrill when Anthony McBride and David Ganapo connected against Evergreen Valley. The connection went for 58 yards, the longest such play in Mount Hamilton this season.
Pioneer moved up to 430 from 499 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs were able to make move up by topping Gunderson 42-0.
Calvin Tipton was a force in the backfield as Oak Grove defeated Lincoln.
McBride put up the best numbers through the air as Piedmont Hills topped the Cougars. He finished with a total of 7 completions for 118 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Tipton was the best running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 244 yards as the Eagles defeated Westmont. Teammate Manuel Reyes added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.
Ganapo was the best wideout in Mount Hamilton this week as the Rams bested the Warriors. Ganapo tallied 3 receptions for 75 yards. Justin Perea helped Willow Glen's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 63 yards.
Tipton provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Oak Grove bested the Lions.
He went 7-10 with 0 interceptions.
Willow Glen's Trent Paganini and Ganapo have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Paganini has thrown for 169 yards this season, while Ganapo has 3 catches for 75 yards. Jay Braun's team's Tipton leads the league in rushing yards with 260.
The Pirates were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to third in the league. Piedmont Hills beat Evergreen Valley 68-13 earlier in the week.
